Atelier Brancusi at Centre Pompidou, Paris
Consisting of the full recreation of Constantin Brancusi’s studio by renowned architect, Renzo Piano, the Pompidou offers a rare treat into experiencing the workspace of the artist, featuring all of his works in the arrangement he intended them. It is also a compelling reason to visit the museum itself which closes down in 2025 for a lengthy five year renovation.

An Enemy Of The People at Circle In The Square Theatre, New York
Ending an 11 year break from New York theatre, Jeremy Strong, Kendall Roy of Succession fame, stars in Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People. The Yale grad shares the stage with another prestige television alum, Michael Imperioli of the Sopranos, in this tale of the misfortunes of a town’s whistleblower.

The most important platform for contemporary artwork in the world, this year’s 60th exhibition is the first falling under the direction of the newly appointed curator, the first Latin American to hold the position, Adriano Pedrosa. Presiding under the title of ‘Foreigners Everywhere,’ this year’s biennale promises to bring together a unique assemblage of global talent, including visionary Native American artist, Jeffrey Gibson.

Celebrating the idea of exchange in this dance program featuring two parts; the first, Pina Bausch’s Rite of Spring performed by a newly assembled company of dancers from African countries, and the second, Common Ground, a new work created, performed and inspired by the lives of two remarkable women; Germaine Acogny, founder of the Ècole des Sables, and Malou Airaudo, a key performer in Bausch’s many early works.

The provocateur, director, choreographer, Dimitri Papaioannaou unleashes a hyper-visual dance theater for this, his latest work. Full of floods, golden fields of wheat, an octopus and an enigmatic intruder, the protagonist tries to gain control of his water-logged dystopia in a succession of dream images at breakneck speed. A sight to behold.

At age 96, iconic American artist, Alex Katz, remains productive. A sampling of his figurative and landscape work will be on display at the very picturesque Fondazione housed in the former San Giorgio Monastery dating back several hundred years. Located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, it also boasts the famous Borges Labyrinth to explore and find your way through.
