Le Magritte, Mayfair
Harkening back to the whiskey soaked Americana bars that were the fashion of 1920’s Paris, Le Magritte is a charming oasis of walnut panelled interiors and classic libations either shaken or stirred, and always strong. Located in the elegant Beaumont Hotel, the bar adjoins a lovely terrace overlooking the Brown Hart Gardens. A bit of trivia; it was where a certain luxury bag and small leather goods company that starts with an ‘M’ spent their Christmas party last year.

The Picture of Dorian Gray, Theatre Royal
Making her return to London’s West End, Emmy award winner Sarah Snook of Succession fame dazzles with a tour de force performance in Oscar Wilde’s classic, playing all twenty-six of the characters herself. Adding to the pedigree is Artistic Director of the Sydney Theatre Company, Kip Williams, helming a production that delivers an explosive interplay of live performance and video in an astonishing collision of form. Not to be missed.

Opened in 2023 and already with a devoted following, the proprietors of Fink’s Café team up with the Head Chef formerly of St John Marylebone for this charming neighbourhood space. Specializing in seasonal fare, and served in a warm and elegant setting, the menu is prided on being highly-changeable to keep things fresh. One constant however is a standout; the sticky toffee apple cake.

Yoko Ono, Tate Modern
Spanning the breadth of a career lasting over seven decades, the Tate Modern celebrates the works of artist, filmmaker, musician, and peace activist; Yoko Ono. Focusing on key moments in her ground breaking oeuvre, including the infamous performance, ‘Cut Piece’ where an audience was invited to cut off her clothing, Ono’s unique and powerful approach to the language of art is a highlight of the cultural season.

When Form Comes Alive, Hayward Gallery

A rich and delicious amalgam of Basque cooking with Welsh ingredients, Mountain is the latest effort by Tomas Parry of Brat. Bustling and buzzy with two open kitchens, an upstairs dining room and a downstairs bar, all the dishes are seasonal and exquisitely sourced - the wonderful sobrasada is made on an organic farm in Mallorca.

Francis Picabia, Michael Werner Gallery
Described by Marcel Duchamp as producing work like a, ‘kaleidoscopic series of art experiences’ the Michael Werner gallery presents Women; Works on Paper, by Francis Picabia. Spanning the years from 1902 to 1950 and featuring over 40 drawings, subjects of which include lovers, icons of femininity, and friends to be stylized, the iconoclast artist who embraced, and then rejected, all styles and disciplines throughout his career, always remained steadfast in his interpretation of the female figure. On view until May 11th, and located just a stone’s throw from our Métier flagship, fyi.

Aire Ancient Baths, Covent Garden
Illuminated by candlelight, this lush spa is located underground a historic Georgian building near the River Thames.
