SIR JOHN SOANE'S MUSEUM

The magnificent former home of one of England’s greatest architects, this mansion turned museum houses the vast wealth of Soane’s collection including an Egyptian sarcophagus, and Roman statues. Recently restored, Soane’s drawing office is now open to the public for the first time since his death in 1837, featuring wall displays of ornate Roman decorative plaster casts as well as models of his most famous commissions.
