Tucked away down a dirt road in the Sahara desert, is a 19th-century Kasbah, Dar Ahlam–one of our biggest inspiration behind our signature Suede Marrakech. The name literally translates to 'House of Dreams' and the terracotta-toned landscape certainly doesn't disappoint. Discover this exquisite hideaway on your next long haul adventure.
The Sheltering Sky (1990)
Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, The Sheltering Sky follows Debra Winger (Kit Moresby) and John Malkovich as her husband Port, through the Sahara Desert. It's a feast for the eyes where the desert comes alive and is filled with magnificant images. The spirit of a traveller is captured too, as we all long for our next adventure.
